What Personal Data We Collect And Why We Collect It

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitors IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Where We Send Your Data.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Like most website operators, SiteBland collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. SiteBland’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how SiteBland’s visitors use its website. From time to time, SiteBland may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

SiteBland also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments onSiteBland.com blogs/sites. SiteBland only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog/site where the comment was left.

We use MailChimp for our email marketing and automation.
